Playing at 75 FOV gives you a slightly wider vision and i like that. I've had no problems with my bravo scope either, just the elcan for some reason.

It seems to vary with weapons and scopes. The Bravo scope is not affected as much with ADS. Also note that the optical and back end of weapon is blurred. To me with FOV at 75 the game looks as if I'm looking through a fish eye lens. This could simulate a more "balanced" way. However there should be a mechanic to remedy this so people can actually go closer or further to the scope raise their current FOV or lower it through some kind of bind. That is why the FOV does change the actual zoom as it simulates your head going back and forth. Unlike other games you are actually looking through the scope. Nice write-up! In my experience getting closer reduced the amount of "tube" that showed up in your sight picture, and considering the FOV effectively changes how far your character's head is from the center of the screen, this makes a lot of sense to me. I think it has to do something with how far the scope is actually from your face.

So it doesn't only depend on how the FOV is set also the weapon makes difference. Much more space between the crosshairs and the black. I switched out the Elcan and tried it again.Īt a lower FOV the black round the reticle is clearly thinner than it was before. As you can see there is a difference but not that much. SV-98 anti-heat ribbonįor example, the Elcan was disliked much because it has a black edge around the reticle. Alright, I've been hearing people talking about certain scopes and how they liked or disliked them for certain reasons.
